Course Description

A two-day course covering basic boat handling, engine checks, rope work and safety. The course is ideal for new owners conscious of the difficulty and hazards of boat handling in the marina.

It is also valuable for anyone wishing to take on the role of crew member on a motor cruiser.

Course Content

Safety and seamanship, engine operations and maintenance, boat preparation, boat handling, rope work, man overboard recovery, anchoring.

Minimum age: 16 (those under 18 must be accompanied by parent or responsible adult)

Maximum Student to Instructor ratio: 4:1

Minimum number of Students required to run a course: 2

Method of assessment: Continual by your Instructor, there are no tests or exams.

Certificate awarded: RYA Helmsman

Price includes all tuition, snacks when at sea, fuel, mooring fees, use of wet weather gear, study materials and Greek VAT at the appropriate rate.
