Corfu Sea School is the first RYA training Centre
to offer certificated RYA courses online. We are
fully committed to developing this form of
teaching. The advantages of learning at your
own speed and in your own time make this an
ideal way of studying for those with busy
schedules. We use high end video, narration
and animation to simply explain even the most
complex navigation and seamanship topics.

We are even developing an internet portal,
elearnmarine.com, dedicated to the subject. We
currently have available the RYA Basic Navigation
and Safety course plus a number of modules that
support our practical courses (all of our clients are
given access to these when they book).

RYA Basic navigation and safety course
If you have an Internet connection this is the theory course for you. 13 modules, each featuring high quality video, animation, photos and narration, guide you through the RYA's Basic Navigation and Safety Course. But, this is not just a book or Internet site to accompany a course..
..it is the course! It is the first RYA course that you
complete online, including tests and quizzes to ensure
that you have reached the required standard.

Fully approved by the RYA and written by Yachtmaster Instructors, the course can be completed in 4 or 5 evenings (however, we give you access to the content for 6 weeks). Once you sign up you will be given access to the course and we will mail you a RYA study pack which includes practice charts, course notes and a plotting instrument. Once you have successfully completed the course we will send you your RYA certificate.

It is suitable for anyone who take to the water, whether by canoe, yacht, powerboat or fishing boat. The course teaches beyond the RYA syllabus and therefore we are quite happy to accept clients on our higher level practical courses that have completed it.
